About Me:
FBA (Four Boys from Alabama) is a metal band formed in September 2007. In a music scene filled to the brim with alternative rock, hard rock, punk, and other nameless subgenres, FBA has begun its pursuit to rise to the top as one of the few truely metal bands in the area. From metrical shifts and key changes, melodic vocal lines, pummeling guitar riffs, and thrashing drums, to alternative and mainstream interludes with jazzy guitar solos and walking bass lines, FBA showcase their knowledge of the art and their extremely various and sometimes contradicting influences. In a few short months, FBA has commanded the attention of numerous crowds in the area and will continue to astonish audiences (hopefully on a broader scale) in the years to come.

Update...

FBA has taken a break. Whether or not they will join again is still up in the air. The drummer left for Berklee and the others are busy in their senior year. They only have one recent recording to show for their stent in the Columbus scene (engineer issues involving the engineer screwing them). All guitars for "Why No Country for Old Men Shouldn't Have Been a Musical" recorded by Chris Helms. Drums and vocals recorded by Steven Gowan. More recordings are planned to surface within the next few mo… Continue

Indie Wars Round III

FBA has made it to Indie Wars Round III! They will be joining Another Road Home, Ours to Alibi, What Great Light, Ocean Is Theory, and Manchester Black (the last three actually competing). Winner of Indie Wars recieve 5 free days in Earthsound Studios, so needless to say, the competing bands that night will be exciting to watch. FBA has risen through the ranks quite quickly to become one of the premiere metal bands in the area and will hold it down for the genre against 3 indie bands. If you hav… Continue

Out of the Studio...

FBA has now completed their first ever studio recording. Done through Sounds of Excellence in Opelika, the recording is a better testament to what the group can musically accomplish. The new recording will either be posted soon or is already posted and is on their myspace www.myspace.com/fourboysfromalabama. If you can, give it a listen, and if you can't, find somewhere you can.

News.

FBA has had an action packed past few months (bursting on the music scene, promoting like crazy, and doing more shows than they ever thought they would have in the last remaining months of 07). From shows in The Core, The Slaughter House, all the way out to The Hell House, to visiting studios, writing 7 full-length songs and covering many more, doing numerous parties, and trying to make a name for themselves-they have learned one thing about the music business... it ain't cheap. There is one

The Lunatics are in the Hall!

Life changed for me in an instant. In one moment in time I knew that my life would never be the same again. Once I was a boy who on occasion enjoyed music. Then one day I knew that music would forever consume me. I knew I would never listen to it in the same way ever again. I knew it would no longer be the melody in the background of my life. I knew it would be my wa

This Dude Abides

Working musicians often wine about another hotel gig. But me, Stan & Jim didn't complain this time. We were invited to be ourselves, play our music, and mingle among a group of very special guests:

As we played, Sam Elliott strolled in! He's humble, looked me in the eye, asked me questions, and made great conversation with one eye squinted while speaking in his deep cowboy voice! Then he signed my guitar...<</b>BR>
