- The Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau and its event partners invite you to join the fun at the 2nd Annual Broadway SpringFest. Columbus’ new signature spring music and arts festival, Broadway SpringFest is scheduled for 10 AM to 7 PM, April 25, 2009 in historic Uptown, Columbus, Georgia. SpringFest showcases local and regional musicians, performing groups and demonstrating artists and offers a unique shopping experience that raises awareness of UPtown Columbus Incorporated’s “Market Days on Broadway” program and the “Georgia Made Georgia Grown” initiative. Local and regional attractions team up to provide a broad selection of games, amusements, and make and take arts & crafts items sure to be fun for the entire family. Experience performances from the Columbus chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Music in Columbus, the Chattahoochee Shakespeare Company, the Columbus Ballet, the “Wham Bam Poetry Slam” from Columbus State University’s Writing Center, living history with The National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus, fun with Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari, Zoo City USA Big Brothers Big Sisters and many more to come! SpringFest is a FREE family event and will be held rain or shine. Camp chairs are welcome; coolers and pets are not. Don’t miss this celebration of music and art in historic Uptown, Columbus, Georgia!
