About Me:
Used to make a living from my music, touring nearly 340 days out of the year. Quit the biz for a while to start a family, now I'm back. If I am playing, I'm happy... if I make money, great, but I just have to play & write to be satisfied now.
Just relocated from Atlanta to Columbus, GA, and I'm loving it. I play nearly every genre, but I write rock & roll / blues / jazz. Music is my passion and my release.

Jam with that Toast?

So I was eating some toast this morning and decided I needed some jam with that... so I created Beatnik Jam. It's a new flavor concept which needs further experimentation before I deem it complete. No, it's not finished, but it's cool to jam to (and eat toast with.)

Yet another one...

Wrote this one in my apartment at around 6:30 in the morning. I'm sure the neighbors were -very- pleased. The song's called "Follow". It's about the move down from Atlanta to Columbus. Yeah, it's a little harder than some of the other stuff you hear on my page, but I write whatever I feel like writing... that's the beauty of music, right?

I purposefully didn't put a guitar or any solo work on there, so all you guitar players, feel free to come up with something appropriate and message me. Not s… Continue

New Song... yay!

It's been a while, but I finally got the bit of concentration I so desperately needed so I decided to write something I always wanted to do... a combo "space rock" and "gospel" song. I call it "Pathfinder."

I will be playing in the Nashville Songwriter's Association event tomorrow evening at the Phoenix City Amphitheater (I'm guessing that's the name of it) with some very talented musicians. I consider it a very big honor to be asked to play with these guys (and gals.) I won't be playing any of… Continue

Still Here!

No, I didn't drop off the face of the earth, but then again, after the abysmal open mic the other night, I should.

Finally got a temporary living space... an apartment, while we wait for our house to sell in Atlanta. Even better, I finally got internet. Only took 2 weeks to get someone to get over here and get me wired up. At least I can upload some new content.

Music's been sort of on-hold for a couple of weeks for the reasons previously mentioned, plus, with the family down and no specific "… Continue

Finally! A Home... at least temporarily

Yay... found an apartment and got the keys on Friday. Now I'm in Atlanta getting all the stuff I'll need to see me through the next 2-1/2 months. We'll put our Atlanta home on the market very soon. Let's hope it sells so I can find a permanent home in Columbus. Seeing my family only on the weekends blows... hard. This weekend they're going to follow me down and stay for a few days.

Went to Open Mic Night last Wednesday as an observer. I think I'll play this next Wednesday to give people a few l… Continue

Andrew, I've been looking for a bassist and drummer for quite some time. I completely want to get a combo together and start playing out, just to see where it could go. Columbus is getting a pretty good music scene, and I want to be part of it.

The Lunatics are in the Hall!

Life changed for me in an instant. In one moment in time I knew that my life would never be the same again. Once I was a boy who on occasion enjoyed music. Then one day I knew that music would forever consume me. I knew I would never listen to it in the same way ever again. I knew it would no longer be the melody in the background of my life. I knew it would be my wa

This Dude Abides

Working musicians often wine about another hotel gig. But me, Stan & Jim didn't complain this time. We were invited to be ourselves, play our music, and mingle among a group of very special guests:

As we played, Sam Elliott strolled in! He's humble, looked me in the eye, asked me questions, and made great conversation with one eye squinted while speaking in his deep cowboy voice! Then he signed my guitar...<</b>BR>
